A little too soon, a little too late, and right on time. When a couple has a motto like that, you know their love story is truly something special. Not only is this their motto, Will said this when asking the love of his life, Layne, to marry him, AND he used this as the chorus of the original song he WROTE for her and surprised her with during their wedding reception. There was not one dry eye in the house, including ours. We may or may not have teared up again while editing too (spoiler alert: we did).
There is something truly magical about these two. To be near Layne & Will is to be lucky in its own right. They are warm, kind, generous, thoughtful, and giving. A love like theirs is contagious and uplifting. You guys, we mean, they even wrote their own vows which were very adorably similar to each other and every single person in the room laughed and cried during them.
Wanting to have a wedding as unique as their love, they partially chose The Ruby Street because they knew they wanted to have a food truck wedding! The Border Grill truck was there dishing out tacos and margaritas to their guests, and as a special treat, churro tots! Yes. Churro. Tots. Yes. They were as delicious as they sound.
And if you had forgotten (actually, if you remembered, good on you!) this couple was the lucky couple who won our 2018 Wedding Photography Giveaway! Although we shot this wedding for 100% free, honestly, it feels like we won when it came to meeting these two and getting to document a small glimpse of Layne & Will's life. Not only are they wonderful, their friends and family welcomed us with such warmth and love, it had us feeling like we had known them for years!
Ironically, Layne & Will's motto has been a theme for our 2018 wedding season. We've had couple's in their 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s & 60s wed this year. Love always wins. It's never too soon or too late, to find and marry the love of your life as it's always, right on time.
