We truly feel blessed to do what we love for a living.  We've had the privilege of meeting and getting to know so many amazing people both in our personal life and our professional life.  One thing that we've come understand is that nothing is guaranteed.  Which is one of the reasons why we value the ability to document people and moments for a living.  Photos will always live on and serve as a reminder of people, places and a different time.

Recently, we've felt like we should be doing more to give back aside from our yearly wedding photography giveaway.   That's why we've decided to start donating $100 from every wedding we book in 2017 to charity.  Although that isn't much in the grand scheme of things, we truly believe it will make an impact over time.  Hopefully it will inspire clients, colleagues and friends to follow suit.

Who will we be donating to?  That's a great and important question.  Using the website Charity Watch, we've spent a lot of time researching many different charities.  We wanted to ensure that we will be donating to reputable organizations that are making a positive difference.

Throughout our lives, two major areas that have impacted us as individuals is cancer and animals.  Now, obviously both of those areas are on opposite ends of the spectrum.  Justin has lost a grandmother and grandfather to cancer.  His mother, grandmother and best friend's mother have also battled cancer successfully.  Cancer impacts millions of families every year.  That is why one charity we will be donating to in 2017 is the Cancer Research Institute.  We encourage you to visit their website to learn more about the groundbreaking work that they're doing.

We have also been impacted by animals throughout our lives.  Shannon's first love was her childhood pet turtle, Toby.  Then in 2010, she decided to adopt a one-eyed pug named Jack.  Jack has become our official company mascot, as well as our lazy office intern.  We've also had the privilege of meeting so many amazing pets through our clients over the years.  Which is why we will also be donating to PetSmart Charities.  They are doing some amazing work to help end pet homelessness.

Although those aren't the only charities that we'll be donating to.  They are the two main ones.  If there's a special cause or charity that is important to you, please let us know.  We are more than happy to donate the $100 from your wedding to a charity of your choosing (as long as it has great reputation).

We really appreciate your support.
